This new black leaf variety is just as hardy as the green leafed Zanzibar Gem producing glossy dark green new growth, maturing to a rich purple-black on thick stems. A low maintenance plant that requires very little care once established including dry conditions. Thrives in a warm, shaded position with protection from frost.
